The core of the AGM 14NV5122484011 is an NW1 Gen 2+ Level 2 White Phosphor Image Intensifier Tube (IIT), which provides outstanding image clarity and brightness with minimal spots in Zone 1. Image performance is further improved by multi-coated optics and manual gain control, enabling optimal brightness adjustments in varying light conditions. For extreme darkness, the NVG-50 features a built-in IR illuminator, delivering undetectable operation even under moonless or starless skies.
Designed for extended use, the dual-tube design enhances the field of view while reducing eye strain compared to single-tube models, making the NVG-50 ideal for long-duration nighttime activities. The goggles also feature a bright light cutoff function, protecting the sensitive IIT from damage caused by sudden exposure to intense light sources.
The NVG-50 offers exceptional versatility with its flexible mounting options. It includes a pre-installed NVG Interface Shoe for use with standard dovetail-type headsets or helmet mounts and an additional bayonet/horn interface shoe for expanded mounting capabilities.
Built with a durable composite housing, the NVG-50 is lightweight yet robust enough for demanding environments. Power is supplied via a commonly available AA battery or CR123A battery, ensuring reliable performance in the field.
