The B&T SPC9 is an innovative hybrid AR-platform firearm that incorporates various features from different weapons around the world. It has earned the nickname "Frankengun" due to its combination of features. The lower receiver of the SPC9 draws inspiration from the B&T APC9 series. It features polymer grips, an ambidextrous AR-style safety, and an ambidextrous magazine release. The lower receiver has been specifically modified to accept Glock magazines, including the extended 33-round magazine. However, it can also be swapped out with other lowers to accommodate B&T's polymer magazines or Sig Sauer 320 magazines. This flexibility in magazine compatibility offers options for different user preferences and availability.

The SPC9 offers two different charging handle systems. It includes a classic AR-type charging handle as well as a non-reciprocating, foldable charging handle mounted above the barrel. Both charging handle systems are fully ambidextrous, allowing the operator to choose their preferred method of operation.

Furthermore, the SPC9 is equipped with a telescopic brace adapter, which provides additional stability and support while shooting. It also features a tri-lug adapter, enabling the use of suppressors for those who desire a quieter shooting experience or need to minimize noise signatures.
