To ensure exceptional accuracy, the Elite Hunter bullet utilizes a Hybrid Ogive, which combines the best qualities of tangent and secant nose shapes that results in a flatter trajectory and less wind drift. Accuracy is further enhanced with a boat tail which provides an aerodynamic advantage at extended ranges when compared to flat-base bullets, especially while transitioning from transonic to subsonic velocities. The Berger Elite Hunter Cartridge superb accuracy is perfectly matched by its maximum lethality. A combination of a consistent and concentric copper jacket with a +/- .0003” tolerance and a thinner profile allows the bullet to penetrate 2” – 3” before rapidly expanding. This results in a massive wound cavity and extreme hydrostatic shock for instant knock-down power and ethically taking game.
