The Cadex Defense CDX-R7 SHP LA is a high-performance precision rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. Cadex Defense CDXR7-SHPD-338-27-CI30-D1D3N-BLK features a 27-inch barrel with a 1:9.5 twist rate, optimized for stabilizing heavy, long-range projectiles. The rifle is finished in black and includes an integrated stock that enhances stability and accuracy, whether fixed or folding depending on the specific configuration. It is equipped with the MX2-ST muzzle brake to help manage recoil and improve shot follow-up. The R7 Shepherd Rifle from Cadex Defence is a precision-engineered long-action rifle that blends traditional aesthetics with modern performance. While it features a more classic rifle stock design, the R7 Shepherd is anything but conventional. It’s built around Cadex’s Strike Nuke synthetic stock, which incorporates a built-in micro-chassis system to enhance rigidity, durability, and accuracy.

At the heart of the rifle is the R7 Shepherd action, CNC-machined from 416 stainless steel for superior strength and precision. It features a smooth 50° bolt throw and a robust 4-lug locking system for reliable cycling. The Cadex Defence R7 Shepherd Rifle has a straight-tapered 1.238" Unisig barrel, which is fluted to reduce weight and improve heat dissipation, and threaded 5/8x24 to accept a wide range of muzzle devices.

The trigger system is the Cadex DX2 Evo, a versatile 2-stage trigger easily converted into a single-stage configuration to suit the shooter’s preference. On top of the action, a 20 MOA integrated Picatinny rail allows for the mounting of optics, providing the elevation needed for long-range shooting.

The Strike Nuke stock is a hybrid design that combines the ergonomics of benchrest rifles with the lightweight efficiency of hunting stocks. It offers fully tool-less adjustments, including length of pull, cheek rest height, and recoil pad height, enabling a tailored fit for any shooter. The pistol-style grip enhances comfort and control, especially in prone shooting positions.

Practicality is also a key feature, with an enlarged trigger guard to accommodate gloved hands and a bottom metal system that’s AICS magazine compatible.
