Hornady’s NTX Bullets are an ideal option for areas that restrict the use of lead bullets. Instead of a lead core, the NTX bullets utilize a non-traditional copper-alloy core, encased in a thin, concentric copper jacket. The NTX is topped with a hard polymer tip – upon impact, the tip is forced back into the bullet’s nose cavity causing extremely rapid expansion as well as violent fragmentation.
