ICU5B16SPR
The LWRC IC-SPR 5.56mm NATO 16.1" Complete Upper Receiver ICU5B16SPR is a high-performance, pre-assembled upper for the AR-15 platform. LWRC ICU5B16SPR features a 16.1-inch barrel with a 1:7 twist rate, ideal for 5.56mm NATO ammunition and optimized for accuracy and reliability. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for compatibility with standard muzzle devices. Equipped with LWRC's advanced short-stroke piston system, the upper reduces recoil and enhances durability, making it ideal for both tactical and precision applications. Finished in a durable black coating, this complete upper delivers reliable performance in demanding conditions.
The LWRC IC-SPR Upper Receiver is engineered with top-tier materials and boasts exclusive features. At its core lies the short-stroke gas piston system, an advancement of the original Stoner design. Notably, it minimizes the venting of hot gases into the receiver and bolt carrier group, reducing the need for frequent cleaning. Moreover, it comes equipped with a nickel-boron coated bolt carrier, ensuring exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion while providing enduring lubrication.
Featuring a heavy-profile, cold-hammer forged barrel treated with black Nitride, the LWRC IC-SPR Upper Receiver is available in 14.7" and 16.1" lengths, each adorned with distinctive spiral fluting. Beyond aesthetics, the spiral fluting reduces weight by up to 20% and enhances cooling by increasing surface area. Additionally, it boasts a 12" user-configurable rail system, enabling customizable placement of accessory rails while maintaining a low-profile, ergonomic design. Accessing the gas-piston system is swift, requiring the loosening of two thumb screws and removal of the top rail section.
