Norma's Oryx Bullets were introduced in 1996, and have gained a world-wide reputation as an ideal hunting bullet due to their rapid expansion, high residual weight, and deep penetration. They utilize soft-tip and a "bonded bullet" design which fuses the jacket and core together. This causes the bullet to immediately start mushrooming upon impact, causing a massive expansion over twice the diameter of the bullet with a rapid release of energy, but prevents the separation of the core and jacket allowing the bullet to retain up to 99% of the weight. In addition to providing maximum stopping power, this design also contributes to a deeper, straight, penetrating effect that works well on large game.
