Originally conceptualized by renowned firearm designer Kevin Brittingham and his R&D team at AAC, this compact Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) was specifically developed at the behest of U.S. special forces. These elite units sought a modern PDW chambered in a rifle caliber that could effectively deliver suppressed fire, replacing the outdated MP5 SD submachine guns. Although the Honey Badger did not ultimately replace the MP5 SD, it inspired Kevin Brittingham to establish Q LLC and introduce an enhanced version of the Honey Badger for civilian use.

The Honey Badger's design primarily caters to suppressed shooting. Its 7-inch stainless steel barrel optimizes the capabilities of the .300 Blackout cartridge, while the 1:5" twist rate ensures exceptional stability for heavy subsonic bullets, resulting in unparalleled accuracy at medium to long distances.
