At the heart of the Scalpel is the renowned Surgeon 591 action, known for its exceptional strength and accuracy. This action incorporates a shrouded, side-mounted bolt stop, which prevents accidental bolt release, ensuring reliable and safe operation. Additionally, an anti-jam rail in the middle of the raceway prevents cartridges from getting lodged when single rounds are loaded through the ejection port.
The Surgeon 591 action also features an integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail that spans the entire length of the action. This rail provides a solid and reliable platform for mounting optics and allows for increased elevation adjustment, enabling shooters to reach out to extreme long-range targets. Furthermore, the action includes a built-in recoil lug, strengthening the entire free-floated system by increasing the tenon length.
The Scalpel is equipped with a MAGPUL PRO stock, known for its durability and functionality. This stock can be folded for convenient storage and transportation and offers full adjustability for cheek height and length of pull, ensuring a comfortable and personalized shooting experience.
Additional features of the Scalpel include a Heavy Palma barrel, renowned for its accuracy and consistency, providing exceptional performance in demanding shooting scenarios. The rifle also incorporates a Trigger Tech trigger, known for its crisp and precise break, enhancing shooter control and shot placement.
