In 1873, the U.S. Army adopted the Colt Single Action Army as its primary sidearm. From then on, it became a Wild West icon, used by gunslingers, lawmen, and outlaws alike. Even General George S. Patton carried one in WWII when semi-automatic pistols were readily available. Uberti modeled their 1873 Cattleman Frisco Revolver after the iconic Single Action Army.
