At the heart of the NVG-50 is an NL1 Gen 2+ Level 1 Green Phosphor Image Intensifier Tube (IIT). AGM 14NV5122483011 premium IIT delivers excellent image quality with minimal spots in Zone 1, further enhanced by multi-coated optics and manual gain control, which allows users to optimize brightness for varying light conditions. For extreme darkness, the NVG-50 includes a built-in IR illuminator, enabling undetectable operation even in moonless or starless environments.
The dual-tube design not only enhances the field of view but also reduces eye strain during extended use, making it ideal for prolonged nighttime operations. Additionally, the goggles feature a bright light cutoff to safeguard the sensitive IIT from overexposure to intense light sources.
One of the NVG-50’s most practical features is its versatile mounting system. The unit comes with a pre-installed NVG Interface Shoe compatible with standard dovetail-type headsets or helmet mounts and includes a bayonet/horn interface shoe for added flexibility.
