All Blaser rifles accept the proprietary Blaser saddle mount. The mount locks onto the firearm with either a fixed screw or a quick detachable cam lever. Both are ultra secure and if the quick detachable feature is not intended for use, the user can tighten the quick detachable version so that it can not be removed without tools.
Rings are then attached to the saddle mount, or in the case of rail mounted scopes, directly attached to the scope. Note that rail scope versions are designed specifically for each manufacturer. All saddle mounts are steel. In general all rings will be aluminum. Although steel rings were made in the past, conventional wisdom now tells us alloy rings are better.
